30 April- 1st May “Stockholm Rainbow Fire”
Walpurgis night in Sweden is marked by a very traditional Spring festival with singing and lighting of bonfires. There are a few places in Stockholm where visitors can view this tradition in action. One of the best places to be for Walpurgis is at Skansen http://www.skansen.se/en/artikel/walpurgis-night and Restaurant Solliden http://www.profilrestauranger.se/skansen/. Here you have the the best view for the big bonfire show! The bonfire will be lit at 9pm.

The weekend culminates in a crazy gay hat parade on May 1st. The parade starts at Kungsholmstorg and goes along the Norr Mälarstrand promenade to Mälarpaviljongen http://www.malarpaviljongen.se, where a jury will nominate the parade’s most beautiful hat.
