Swedes are not famous for bragging, but listen to this!
The readers of the leading LGBT Magazine EDGE have voted and Stockholm is the winner!
Stockholm won the award Favorite LGBT-Friendly City in the 2011 Best of EDGE Awards!

Pop-princess Gaga announced on her official website that her “Born This Way” tour would be hitting Sweden, with one date revealed for the Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe on August 30.

Lady Gaga has her mind set on making a triumphant return this summer with her tour The born This Way Ball. Gaga will perform with songs from her latest album “Born This Way” and also songs from “The Fame” and “The Fame Monster”. Gaga and her tour The Born This Way Ball reach Ericsson Globe in August and British band The Darkness opens the show!

Finally! You know it’s spring in Stockholm when Mälarpaviljongen has opened.
Mälarpaviljongen is the place if you are looking for an atmospheric, cozy local restaurant and high-spirited bar with great music and people. It also happens to one of the hottest LGBT spots in town!
Overlooking Lake Mälaren this is a cosy, green haven where you can chill out over a glass of wine, lovely lunch or just enjoy a coffee & cake after a pleasant walk along Norr Mälarstrand Promenade.
If you love Acne, you’ll love the store Acne Archive in Stockholm.
Acne is one of Swedens’s most well known fashion labels and you’ll find a lot of Acne stores in Stockholm. The label has also opened Acne Archive – a store where they sell show samples, pieces from past collections and re-designed second hand garments. Acne’s design team makes everything and all the re-designed pieces are unique. At Acne re-design and re-using ithings is more important than throwing them away.
At Acne Archive you can also find stuff from Acne’s collaboration with Lanvin and some selected vintage pieces from designer labels. It is and awesome place for those seeking better prices on Acne items, interesting pieces that no one else has or that special garment from last season that you didn’t get.
The store’s interior is very simple with wooden board tables and white painted walls decorated with mini sculptures by Swedish artist Carl Milles. It offers the best Swedish design for a good price.

Spartacus Internationally Gay Guide has published its Gay Travel Index. The international travel guide for the gay community, which has been published on an annual basis for the last 40 years, informs its readers about the legal situation for gays and lesbians in each of the 128 countries listed in the guide. The editorial staff stands in regular contact with the Foreign Office, the foreign embassies in Germany as well as LGBT-(Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans-gender) activists from around the world.
And the winner is: Sweden!
With an index of 9 points and with it the maximum number of points possible, Sweden is at the top of the list. An exemplary anti-discriminatory legislation, gay marriage and adoption for gay couples make Sweden the most gay-friendly destination worldwide. Just behind Sweden: Belgium and the Netherlands which share the second place, each with 8 points, Iceland and Canada are ranked third with 7 points.

Congratulations! Frantzén/Lindeberg, one of the best restaurants in Scandinavia, has been voted best restaurant in The White Guide for 2012.
